In a sea of blue, 果冻传媒 awarded degrees and certificates to the Class of 2013. TCC鈥檚 43rd annual commencement on May 10 set new records for the college, based on preliminary numbers.
TCC had the largest graduating class in the college鈥檚 history to end the 2012-2013 year, based on early estimates. In addition, TCC awarded a record number of degrees/certificates to students.
The numbers show an estimated 2,672 graduates and 2,915 degrees and certificates awarded during the 2012-2013 academic year. Those numbers compare to 2,437 graduates and 2,618 degrees and certificates awarded for the previous year.
TCC has seen a steady increase in the number of graduates and degrees awarded since the federal Complete College America (CCA) Program was enacted in 2009. Oklahoma is part of the CCA Alliance of States that has pledged to make college completion a top priority. TCC works with Governor Mary Fallin and state leaders on the higher education initiative.
TCC鈥檚 Grad Blitz campaign is designed to encourage more people to finish college degrees and certificates. TCC faculty and staff called students, close to graduation requirements, to remind them about the importance of filing for graduation and the benefits of having a degree for employment.
TCC is Oklahoma鈥檚 largest two-year college and ranks 27th in the number of graduates among 1,150 community colleges nationwide.
